MIL-DTL-53022F Type 4 epoxy primer is a two component lead and chromate free primer, with enhanced anti-corrosive properties (passes a minimum of 1000 hours salt spray testing) suited for high performance application.
Maximum VOC of 2.8 lbs/gal and meets MIL-DTL-53022F, Type 4 composition and performance specification. Recommended for use on aluminum and steel structures. It is primarily used on Army combat vehicles. This product may be used as a primer under CARC coatings specified in MIL-DTL-53039 or MIL-DTL-64159, MIL-PRF-22750 epoxy topcoats or MIL-PRF-85285 (non aircraft) polyurethane topcoats.
