All the products under specification MIL-PRF-680 are hydrocarbon based solvents used as degreasers and cleaners for painted and unpainted metal surface and degreasing of machine parts in equipment maintenance.
TYPE II (low odor with high flash point solvent) is intended for use where a solvent with a higher flash point is desired. It is recommended over Type I for safety and regulatory reasons.
Advantages
MIL-PRF-680 Type II has replaced PD-680 Type II and has the following advantages:
- Safe to personnel contains less than 0,01% aromatics in comparison to PD-680 Type II that contains approximately 20%.
- Almost odorless.
- Much safer to metals in comparison to PD-680 Type II.
- More efficient.
- Since it does not contain aromatics it is much safer to the environment.
- Is enlisted on the Qualified Product List (QPL) in accordance with specification MIL-PRF-680 TYPE II.

Usage
Used neat by brush, spray or dipping. Do not rinse off allow to dry.
